Sydney...A "Must-See"
Welcoming, Exciting, Cosmopolitan, Dynamic

Sydney...there is no other place in the world like this beautiful and vibrant city. If there is one city that you need to visit no matter what part of the world you are from, it must be Australia's premier city.

G'day and welcome!

Allow me to be your online tour guide as I take you to every nooks and crannies of the Harbour City and beyond. You will be surprised that Australia's first city is more than just the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Bustling with life and natural as well as man-made beauty, you will feel anything but regret if you make the Harbour City your next travel stop.

To say that there is more to see and things to do at Sydney would be an understatement. In fact, if the days you have to spare for a visit are too few, do not be surprised if you leave feeling like you have barely scratched the surface!

And despite being at par with the modernity you would expect in any large Western city, it does not have the often touted ‘coldness' that many large cities of the world are infamous for. Actually, nothing contributes more to the friendly draw to this city than the legendary warm, welcoming and laid back culture of Sydneysiders.

And I am not just saying that...

I am speaking from experience having come to Sydney about 22 years ago and grown to love . When you come here, watch out! You might quickly fall in love and choose to make it your home!

Sydney Opera House Sydney Harbour Bridge Sydney Tower
This once "ugly duckling" is now the iconic symbol not only of the city but also Australia. The "coat hanger" is the longest single span bridge in the world. It connected the city to the north and united the people during the Depression. This is the tallest building in the city. Enjoy a breathtaking 360 degrees panoramic view of the Harbour City..

Just so you know I am not blowing things out of proportion, let me give you a little peek of what is in store for you when you enter the gates of the Harbour City. I know I said that there is more to this city than the Opera House. It is not to take away the grandeur of its architectural design and historical significance not just to Sydney but Australia as a whole.

  • Australia's premier city's charm and beauty is open for everyone to see and enjoy. You will discover its marred and yet fascinating history that was etched and carved in the many colonial and heritage buildings, libraries and museums that compete against the onset of modern infrastructure.
  • Blessed with arguably the best natural harbour in the world, the past and present life and blood of the city revolve around this sparkling watershed. I will take you to the Harbour City top attractions which are clustered around the harbour foreshore. It is the same harbour that gave birth to this city and therefore Australia.
  • Find out why we Sydneysiders are spoiled. Locals and visitors enjoy an almost year round outdoor lifestyle of fun and leisure because of our beautiful temperate weather. Sydneysiders ride the waves and bask in the sand virtually all year round. Take any beaches that dot along the northern and southern seaboard of this sunbathed city. Each has its own culture and charm.

Queen Victoria Building Manly Beach The Rocks
This is one good place to go shopping...even if you are not buying. Its stunning intricate decor and architecture is worth a visit. This is one of the northern beaches. Sydneysiders enjoy the beach even in the middle of winter. This is one of the oldest building in the edge of the Harbour and is in the Rocks. It is now home to some alfresco restaurants offering a fantastic view of the Opera House.

You celebrate white Christmas in December... we have Christmas in July.( Now, that's something unheard of.)

  • The warmth of temperate weather is fantastic. But this does not mean anyone that has a passion for winter activities or travel will feel out of place. While temperatures in this part of Australia rarely drop below 5 degrees Celsius during winter, you can experience much colder environment about an hour's drive away at the Blue Mountains. If you are looking for snow and a ski resorts, you can do the longer but still exciting 6 hour drive to the Snowy Mountains in Mt. Kosciuszko where you can have skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing to your fill.
  • With all the sophistication of a thriving modern city, the Harbour City is still a bushie at heart. It is part of its heritage. The early settlers had to conquer the bush to built this city.

Its bushlands like the Blue Mountains and the Royal National Park are well protected and World Heritage listed for future generations. Enjoy unspoilt stunning views of tumbling waterfalls, rugged sandstone cliffs and amazing wildlife as you walk through native gum trees and eucalyptus.

The Three Sisters Royal Botanic Garden Fitzroy Falls
This sandstone columns can be seen in the Echo Point lookout in the Blue Mountains or you can walk the short trail that leads to this rock formation. No time to go to the bush? Take a leisurely walk in this lush oasis in the heart of the Sydney and be impressed by its collection of exotic and native plants and trees. This is just one of the many spectacular views in the wilderness of Sydney.

  • Sydneysiders know how to party...and host a party! If you want to get down, the city is the place. We throw great parties and I have the proof!

The Harbour City has hosted a number of world class events such as the 2000 Olympics Games and the World Youth Day. But you don't have to wait for a major sports, economic or social event to see the true spirit of celebration in the city.

Join the locals as we celebrate the New Year with a big bang! Party from dusk to dawn as we welcome the new year with a spectacular display of fireworks... something that captures international attention given that the Harbour City is one of the first big cities to cross into each New Year.

  • Is Sydney cheap to travel? It will probably depend on where you are traveling from and what the currency rate is. But to give you an idea, we have plenty of backpackers and they are enjoying their stay. We also have a lot of international students enrolled in schools, colleges and universities.

One thing I can assure you, you get more value for your money.

Travel has become much affordable now than before. Airlines and hotel accommodations are offering discounts on travel packages to entice travelers on any budget. You may even find something that suits you in this site.

So what are you waiting for?

Hop on!...grab a drink.( it's on the house!)

Take a seat and make yourself comfortable.

Relax...

and enjoy the tour...
